The zoom and pan controls are at the upper left. The arrows should be self-explanatory. The "+" and "-" symbols are for the zoom: "+" means zoom in, "-" means zoom out. You can also click on the map and drag it around to get to other places that aren't showing in the window but that you might want to take a look at anyway. That's where the zoom out can be real helpful... just put that place in the center of the window and zoom in until you get the clarity you want.

This map is centered on Canon City but you can drag it around with your mouse and look at just about anything in the neighborhood. Then give it a click on the satellite imagery button and see what you get.
