Eads, Colorado

Eads is on the Great Plains in southeastern Colorado. This is beautiful country but a bit "tree-challenged." Northeast of Eads is the site of the infamous Sand Creek Massacre. In the old days (before the European invasion), this was prime bison hunting countryside for the Arapaho and Cheyenne. These days, Eads has the distinction of having the first high school in Colorado to provide notebook computers for every student and to move completely into a computer-based curriculum.
