The North Lone Pine Trail is about 4.4 miles long (one way) and is rated as More Difficult.
Trailhead Location: From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north 21 miles to Livermore, turn left onto Redfeather Lakes Road. Travel about 28 miles west (past the village of Redfeather Lakes the road turns to gravel). The trailhead is on the left side of the road. This trail passes by North and Middle Bald Mountains and ends at the Elkhorn Creek Jeep Road. The trail crosses a couple of old logging roads. Look for rock cairns or blazes on the trees to indicate the trail location. |
