The Silver Dollar Lake Trail is about 1.5 miles long (one way) and is rated as More Difficult.
Trailhead Location: Just south of Guanella Pass Campground and north of Guanella Pass is a wide spot in the road. Sometimes you'll find parking here or you may have to travel another quarter mile up a 4WD road to where there is another parking area. The trailhead starts there. This is a short hike where the thin air and occasional steepness may be challenging. The trail leads to two lakes above treeline. The first lake, Naylor Lake, is on private property. Do not trespass. The second lake is Silver Dollar Lake and is owned by we, the people. |
