The Snowslide Trail is 5.7 miles of moderately difficult hiking in the Wet Mountains north of Greenhorn Mountain. Most folks use this trail in the summer and fall.
Access: The lower trailhead is about 8 miles northwest of Rye on State Highway 165. The upper trailhead is on FR 369 (the Greenhorn Mountain Road). Notes: This trail climbs slowly up a ridge to the south of the Lake Isabel Recreation Area. This is pine and aspen country with great views and lots of wildlife, but bring lots of your own water.
