This photo is from about 1/8 of a mile north of Window Rock. The canyon walls are steep here but that central granite formation looks to be about 90° vertical. It's a pretty impressive chunk of rock, impressive to the point of being mesmerizing. I look at this photo and think not so much about scaling that wall to its' topmost point but more about just climbing up into the window itself. The next few photos are from closer still and will give you a much better picture of what this location really looks like, and how "easy" it would be to get up into that window... |
