Shelf Road Part 2

Another photo of the Shelf Road Climbing Area with Shelf Road itself snaking along at the bottom of some pretty sheer rock. Those boulders along the slope between the upper and lower cliffs obviously fell from above. Sooner or later they will make their way down and drop on the road, although when they finally do they may have enough momentum to continue rolling and make their way all the way down to the stream bed. Like I said: the scene is too big to fit in my camera.

My wife saw this photo and "suggested" that I never take her for a ride here... and the famous, always-connected-to-the-network cell phone still doesn't work... (so much for their biggest, best and/or most reliable network nonsense - this is Colorado, the way I like it).
