Latah County is in west central Idaho, about where the bottom of the panhandle is. Moscow is home to the University of Idaho. "Latah" is a word from the Chinook Jargon language that means "tooth" or "teeth." Latah County was founded in 1888 and contains 1,077 square miles of land and almost no surface water. The county seat is Moscow. |
