Owyhee County was founded in 1863 and contains 7,678 square miles of land and 19 square miles of water. The county seat is Murphy. There was a time when Owyhee County was the scene of several good silver digs and stagecoaches and wagon trains passed through the area frequently. But those days are long over and there's a lot of ghost town left... |
