Showdown Montana is high in the Little Belt Mountains of central Montana. The top of the mountain offers spectacular views stretching from the Sweet Grass Hills more than 150 miles to the north to the Paradise Mountains, over 100 miles to the south. The day lodge has a restaurant offering breakfast and lunch, the Hole-in-the-Wall Saloon, a rental shop and a pro shop. Additionally, the area offers snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and ski touring, sledding, tubing, and tobogganing. Because Showdown relies on the Snow Gods for 100% of their snow, the best day to visit is Powder Wednesdays (because they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Showdown Montana is about 1 hour southeast of Great Falls on US Highway 89, 30 minutes north of White Sulphur Springs, 10 minutes south of Niehart. |
