Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest

Access: About 4 miles north of State Highway 260 on Forest Road 300, just off Woods Canyon Lake. Forest Road 300 is at mile marker 282, directly across from the Rim Visitor Information Station, about 25 miles west of Heber, AZ. Elevation: 7,610' Depending on the weather, season generally runs from May 1 to October 31. The campground is situated in the Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest on Woods Canyon Lake with an interpretive nature trail at the north end of the lake. Fishing and boating (electric trolling motors only) are allowed. Facilities:
