Aspen Campground

Access: About 4 miles north of State Highway 260 on Forest Road 300, just off Woods Canyon Lake. Forest Road 300 is at mile marker 282, directly across from the Rim Visitor Information Station, about 25 miles west of Heber, AZ.

Elevation: 7,610'

Depending on the weather, season generally runs from May 1 to October 31.

The campground is situated in the Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest on Woods Canyon Lake with an interpretive nature trail at the north end of the lake. Fishing and boating (electric trolling motors only) are allowed.

Facilities:

• 136 family campsites
• Tents, trailers and motorhomes up to 45 feet long
• Each site includes campfire grills and picnic tables
• Vault toilets & garbage facilities available.
• Drinking water is available.
• There is a boat ramp and launch at Woods Canyon Lake.
• RV sanitary dump station near-by.

• Campground Hosts on site.

• Gas, phone, and groceries are available at Forest Lakes, 10 miles east of the campground.
