Chevelon Crossing Campground

Access: From the north, take Forest Road 34 south to Forest Road 504. Chevelon Crossing Campground is just off FR 504 at Chevelon Creek. From the south, take Forest Road 300 north to Forest Road 169. Then turn onto FR 169 and follow it to the junction with FR 504. Turn right and follow FR 504 to the campground.

Elevation: 6,300'

Chevelon Crossing is in a scenic and historic canyon area. Originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's, the campground is open year-round with spring and fall seeing the most visitors. The campground is situated along Chevelon Creek, which offers some excellent fishing.
