Access: From Show Low, head west to the intersection of Highways 260, 77 and 60, then head towards Payson (west) on SR 260. Go 2.0 miles to Old Linden Road, then turn right and go .6 miles to Fool Hollow Lake Road which will take you to the main entrance to the Recreation Area. For a Map of the Area. Elevation: 6,280' Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area is operated by Arizona State Parks (with an office and Park Rangers on site) and is open year round. Campsites are located on several loops that wind among the Ponderosas, pinons and junipers. Many sites have great views of the 150-acre lake and wildlife islands. The day use area offers 2 playgrounds and 5 large, group picnic ramadas.
