Apache - Sitgreaves National Forest

Access: The Gentry Campground is located about 5 miles south of the junction of Forest Road 300 South and State Highway 260. Forest Road 300 South is located about 13 miles west of Heber/Overgaard, AZ. Elevation: 7,725' While the campground may be open year-round, season generally runs from early May to some time in November (depending on the weather). The group site is limited to 70 people at a time. Gentry Lookout is nearby and, unless otherwise posted, is open to the public during the summer (although you'll want to keep your distance during lightning storms). Fishing and boating (electric motors only) are popular at Black Canyon Lake, about 4.5 miles northeast along Forest Road 86. Facilities:
