Access: At the intersection of State Highway 260 and Forest Road 130 (Pinedale Road), turn south on FR 130 and continue through Pinedale and past the US Forest Service work center for 2.3 miles to FR 130A, which turns right and goes straight into Lewis Canyon Group Campground. Elevation: 6,600' The Group Campground is open May 1 to September 30. Capacity of the group campground is 150 people. The campground is located in a Ponderosa pine forest with a large open field nearby. At the campground is the trailhead for the Juniper Ridge Trail #640. The trail is a nice 14-mile loop through some beautiful juniper, manzanita and Ponderosa country and is open to hikers, horses and mountain bikers but no motorized vehicles. Also marked is a shorter, 7-mile loop trail. Facilities:
