Rim Campground

Rim Campground

Access: The Rim Campground is about one mile north of State Highway 260 towards Woods Canyon Lake on Forest Road 300. 25 miles west of Heber, AZ, right across the road from the Rim Visitor Information Station is where you turn on to Forest Road 300.

Elevation: 7,540'

Season usually runs from mid-May to the weekend after Labor Day.

The Rim Lakes Vista Trail, with spectacular views of the Mogollon Rim, starts here. The General Crook National Recreation Trail is about a mile away. Willow Springs Lake and Woods Canyon Lake are both close by.

Facilities:

  • 26 family camping units with campfire grills and picnic tables for tents, trailers and motorhomes up to 32 feet long.
  • Drinking water, toilets and garbage facilities.
  • Paved roads
  • On site Campground Hosts.

Other notes:

  • Campground is concessionaire operated
  • Campground is laid out in cul-de-sac design
  • Parallel parking only
  • Gas, telephones, and groceries are available at Forest Lakes, 7 miles east of the campground.
