The Horton Springs Trail is about 1.5 miles long (one way) and is rated as difficult. It sees light use from spring through fall. Elevation: 6,700' to 7,900' The first quarter mile of this trail is through the pines and firs and is pretty level, then it drops steeply through some incredible viewpoints. It connects with the Highline Trail one mile below. Access: Turn west on Forest Road 300 from State Road 260 and go 15.7 miles. The trailhead is on the south side of the road.
