The Telephone Ridge Trail is 0.9 miles each way and is rated as strenuous. It sees light use from April through November. This trail is often used by Forest Service lookouts in a hurry to get from the Blue River Road to the lookout tower on top of Bear Mountain. It is a steep shortcut that runs between the Largo Trail and the Sawmill Trail that runs along the top of Telephone Ridge. There is usually good water at Maple Spring in Largo Canyon. No motorized or mechanized vehicles (including mountain bikes) are allowed in the Primitive Area. Elevation: 6,560' to 7,520' Access: The only access is via the Largo Trail or the Sawmill Trail.
