    Elevations:
  • Trail Beginning: 9,200 ft
  • Trail High Point: 10,000 ft

The Cumbres Snowmobile Trail starts and ends at the rest stop on Colorado Highway 17, just north of the state line. Plowed during the winter, the rest stop is immediately adjacent to the signed Apache Canyon turnoff. Because this snowmobile trail is not located near paved roads and hazardous snow conditions are common, this trail is recommended for experts only.
