This trailhead is about 2 miles southwest of Palo Flechado Pass (about 16 miles east of Taos via US Highway 64). There is a large white corral at the entrance but parking is available on the other side of the highway. The trail is signed and starts in a broad, gently sloping meadow with a long, slow 3 mile ascent to its end. In the winter, this trail is for cross country skiers and snowshoers only, no snowmobiles. Rating: Intermediate USGS Quad: Palo Flechado |
