The Marble Mountain Trail gives moderately difficult access to the flank of Marble Mountain. Its 1.7 miles sees most traffic in the summer and fall.
Access: 4.5 miles south of Westcliffe on State Road 69 turn south on County Road 119 (Colfax Lane). Go to the Grape Creek Trailhead before the end of the road (FR 119 continues on to Music Pass). From there, go north on the Rainbow Trail for 3.7 miles to the junction with the Marble Mountain Trail. Notes: The Marble Mountain Trail heads west from the Rainbow Trail into the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness and ends after 1.7 miles on the flank of Marble Mountain (13,266').
