This moderately difficult, 5.7 mile trail in the northern Wet Mountains sees most of its traffic in the summer and fall.
Access: The trailhead is on County Road 143 (the Oak Creek Grade) about 7 miles south of Canon City. There is a small parking area on the east side of the road but the trailhead is on the west. Watch for the sign. Notes: The Stultz Trail heads west from CR 143 and 5.7 miles later, ends at the Tanner Peak Trail at the foot of Curley Peak (9,622'). This is beautiful countryside in the northern Wet Mountains with some great rock formations and excellent views. USGS Maps: Rockvale, Curley Peak |
