San Isabel National Forest

This easy 1.5 mile trail sees most of its traffic in the summer and fall.
Access: Midway between Buena Vista and Poncha Springs on US 285, go west on County Road 270 for 1.5 miles to a crossroads. Stay straight ahead on County Road 272. 2 more miles and you'll cross the forest boundary. At the next intersection, go left on CR 272 for 1.75 miles (past the Brown's Creek Trailhead) to the Wagon Loop Trailhead on the right side of the road. Notes: The Wagon Loop Trail heads southwest for 1.5 miles and meets up with the Colorado Trail. You can go south a bit and then west on the Brown's Creek Trail to Brown's Lake or go north and loop back on the Brown's Creek Trail to that trailhead (about 1/4 mile north of where you left your vehicle).
