Raton Municipal Airport

Raton Municipal Airport is located about 10 miles south of Raton off US 64 (on the way toward Cimarron). There is no tie down fee and, at present, no hangar space available. Vehicles and a rental plane are available. With two paved runways and a grass strip, the airport is Lear Jet accessible. The terrain is open but there are mountains 4-5 miles away to the west, north and east. There is a snack bar available at the terminal and courtesy refreshments are available at all times. The fixed base operator is Pegasus Aviation LLC (505-445-3076) and they offer flight instruction and pilot supplies. The airport offers easy access to Angel Fire, CS Ranch, Philmont, Vermejo Park and the NRA Whittington Center. |
