Los Ojos (Parkview), New Mexico
The restored church in Los Ojos
Los Ojos was an early Hispanic settlement in northern New Mexico. It's in a beautiful location in the Chama River Valley with great views of the Tusas Mountains and Brazos Cliffs to the east.
Los Ojos is most famous these days as home of the Tierra Wools Cooperative, a ground-breaking women's co-op that has succeeded in revitalizing the local sheep and alpaca economy and creating good jobs for many women that otherwise might not be able to earn a living.
