Grenville is what's left of a small village established on the eastern plains of New Mexico in the late 1800's. Originally, the site was probably a railroad siding and water tower in the days of the steam locomotives, and a community grew up around that. The years of the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression took most folks out of town but some stayed and continued ranching cattle and sheep. However, as time goes on, the population still dwindles... |
