Snowbasin Resort is owned by Earl Holding, builder of legendary Sun Valley, Idaho. After 60 years as a little-known hideaway for Utah powder skiers, Snowbasin was one of the mountains chosen to participate in the 2002 Winter Olympics. With lots of powder on incredible terrain: steep chutes, perfectly groomed cruisers, high alpine bowls, deep powder glades, and two of the most challenging downhill race courses in the world, Snowbasin also sports three of the four lifts with the greatest vertical rises in Utah. Snowbasin Resort is about 40 minutes north from Salt Lake City via the I-15, State Route 89, then I-84 east to the Mountain Green exit and then highway 167 to Snowbasin Road. |
