Section 16: From Monte Vista take Hwy. 15 south 2 miles to #2 South Rd. Go 3 miles west to property. Section 36: From Monte Vista take Hwy. 15 south 2 miles to #2 South Rd. Go west 9.5 miles to property.

OPEN: Aug. 15 - May 31 for hunting. Tract 2 only open year round for fishing.
HUNTING: Elk, deer, antelope, coyote, bobcat, mountain lion, furbearers, small game. Safety zone along east side of Tract 1.
FISHING: In Rock Creek on Tract 2 only.
ACCESS: Vehicle access limited to existing roads.

Beaver Creek

From South Fork go 2 miles southwest on Hwy. 160 to USFS Rd. 360 (Beaver Creek Rd.) then 6 miles south to reservoir.
FISHING: coldwater lake
RECREATION: wildlife observation
FACILITIES: campgrounds (USFS), rest room, drinking water, boat ramps.
RESTRICTIONS: Snagging kokanee permitted Oct. 1 - Dec. 31, discharging firearms prohibited, open fires prohibited on ice, boating prohibited if it creates a whitewater wake.

Home Lake

From Monte Vista go 1.5 miles east on Sherman Ave. to property.
FISHING: coldwater lake
RECREATION: wildlife observation
RESTRICTIONS: Boating prohibited except craft propelled by hand, wind, electric motor or motorboats up to 10 horsepower any time but motorboats greater than and including 10 horsepower only 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rio Grande - Baxterville - Fishing Easements

From upper boundary of Rio Grande campground downstream to upper boundary of Marshall Park campground and from Willow Creek to Goose Creek:

  • Artificial flies and lures only.
  • Bag and possession limit for brown trout is 2 fish 16 inches or longer.
  • Rainbow trout must be returned to the water immediately.

From Coller bridge downstream to west fence of Masonic Park and (GOLD MEDAL WATER) from Hwy. 149 bridge at South Fork downstream to Rio Grande Canal diversion structure:

  • Artificial flies and lures only.
  • Bag and possession limit for brown trout is 2 fish, 16 inches or longer.
  • Rainbow trout must be returned to the water immediately.

From west fence of Masonic park to Farmers' Union Canal near Del Norte - WILD TROUT WATER
