Take Highway 135 east from Naturita for 3.5 miles to Highway 141, then go south on 141 for 3.6 miles. Turn west on CR HH31 and go 3 miles to dirt road. Turn south and go 1 more mile.

Between Naturita and Redvale on Highway 145, turn south on Highway 141 and go 15 miles to Dry Creek Basin State Wildlife Area.

Poison Spyder

Take Highway 141 from Naturita south for 15 miles to CR 29W, turn onto CR 29W and go west 1.7 miles from Highway 141 on BLM Road 4088, then 2 miles northwest. Finally, go south 1 mile to property.

Go east of Norwood 1.5 miles on Highway 145 to USFS Road 610 (Norwood-Dolores Road), then go 17 miles south.

RESTRICTIONS:

On Miramonte Reservoir Tract:
  • Camping allowed only in designated areas.
  • No discharging of firearms or bows unless engaged in hunting.
  • No waterskiing allowed from 6 PM to 10 AM.
  • Waterskiing and jetskiing allowed only in designated areas.
On Greager Tract:
  • Closed March 1 to May 15, except with permit from area or district wildlife manager for viewing purposes.
  • Viewing site limited to designated area.
  • Viewers must follow all conditions and restrictions on permit.
  • Foot or horseback access only.

Go 17 miles south of Naturita on Highway 141. Highway 141 crosses southwest through the property.

RESTRICTIONS: Camping allowed only in designated areas; No snowmobiles allowed.

Go 13 miles west of Telluride on Highway 145 to USFS Road 618 in Fall Creek, then go 9 miles south.
