Carr Tract

Go 25 miles north of Fort Collins on the I-25 to Carr exit. Go east 2 miles on CR 126 to CR 17. Access 1: 1/2 mile north of CR 126 on CR 17. Access 2: about 4 miles east of CR 17 and to the north of CR 126 (at southeast corner of the property).
ACRES: 3,133
OPEN: Restricted to pronghorn hunting only during pronghorn seasons.
HUNTING: Pronghorn. CAUTION: There may be bison present on the land.
RESTRICTIONS: No hunting from blinds; absolutely no fires; Contact DOW in Fort Collins for permits and access (970-472-4300); parking for permit holders only, only in designated areas

Greasewood Lake

Go 18 miles east of Kersey on Highway 34 to CR 87 (Masters Road), turn and go north and east on CR 87 (which will turn into CR 89) for 14 miles, to CR 68. From intersection, go 1 mile east to parking area.

HUNTING: Pronghorn, coyote, rabbits, ducks, doves

Banner Lakes

Go 4 miles east of Hudson on Highway 52.
ACRES: 934
HUNTING: Dove, pheasant, waterfowl
RECREATION: Wildlife observation, hiking

RESTRICTIONS:

  • Except for hand-propelled craft and float tubes, no boating allowed.
  • No bicycles, horseback riding, camping or fires allowed.
  • No fishing allowed from opening of first regular duck season to last day of waterfowl season.
  • Discharging weapons or archery prohibited, except when hunting or training dogs.
  • Reservations required for waterfowl hunting from first day of regular duck season to first day of pheasant season (Call 800-846-9453 for info and reservations).
  • North of Highway 52 closed from April 1 to July 15.
  • Dog training allowed north of Highway 52 during February, March and July 16 to August 31 only. Dog training south of Highway 52 allowed February 1 to August 31 only.
  • Foot access only.

Centennial Valley

  • No camping, dog training, target practice, fires or recreational horse use allowed.
  • Dogs allowed only as hunting aids.
  • Small game and waterfowl hunting only in designated zones during regular waterfowl seasons.
  • No centerfire rifles allowed.
  • During regular waterfowl seasons, reservations required. Call 800-846-9453 for reservations and more info. Mandatory check in and check out.
  • Except on designated trail for wildlife observation and hunters with spring turkey licenses, property is closed from March 1 to August 31.
  • Closed to all uses except deer hunting on opening weekend of regular plains rifle deer season and opening day and first weekend of late plains rifle deer season.
  • Park only in designated areas. No motor vehicles allowed outside parking areas.

From Windsor exit on the I-25, go 2.3 miles east on Highway 392 to CR 13, then go 1/2 mile south to property.

  • Minimum size for largemouth and smallmouth bass is 15".
  • Unless you are hunting, don't be shooting the gun or the bow.

  • Boating that creates a whitewater wake not allowed.
  • During regular waterfowl season reservations are required, call 800-846-9453 for info.
  • Mandatory check in and check out for hunting.

  • No habitat stamp required if you stay on the bike path.

From Highways 392 and 257, go 3 miles south on 357 to parking area south of Poudre River.

  • Dogs must be kept on a leash.

Go 5 miles east of Greeley on Highway 263.
OPEN: August 16 to February 28, except open for spring turkey season.

  • No discharging of firearms or bows unless hunting.
  • Park only in designated area. Parking closed from 1 hour after sunset to 4 AM during waterfowl season.

  • Fishing allowed only from western shore, or from boats 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset.
  • No fires, camping, discharging of firearms or bows, or glass containers allowed.

  • Big game hunting restricted to archery, shotguns with slugs, and muzzleloaders.
  • Horseback riding generally not allowed.
  • Target practice must be authorized by area wildlife manager.
