Juab County is in west central Utah. This is the home of Dugway Valley and the Mt. Nebo Wilderness Area. You'll also find the Deep Creek Mountains Wilderness Study Area, Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge, Little Sahara Recreation Area and a good part of the Pony Express Trail Back Country Byway. Juab County contains 3,391 square miles of land and 15 square miles of water. "Juab" is an Indian word meaning either "thirsty valley" or just plain "valley."
