San Juan County is in southeastern Utah with Colorado to the east and Arizona to the south. Parts of Canyonlands National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Hovenweep National Monument, and all of Natural Bridges National Monument are here. San Juan County contains 7,820 square miles of land and 113 square miles of water. The county seat is Monticello. Within the city limits of Blanding you'll find the Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum with some great exhibits and interpretive displays about the countryside all around.
