Piute State Park is a well-kept secret, probably because of the trophy-class rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout in the reservoir. This reservoir was built by the same guy who supervised the construction of the dam at Otter Creek Reservoir, although he built this one several years later (1908). Piute State Park is open 24/7/365. The day use permit costs $5 and covers use of the boat ramp. The camping is primitive and costs $10 per night. Piute State Park is about 12 miles south of Marysvale, just off US 89. |
