Sweetwater County, Wyoming

Sweetwater County is in southwestern Wyoming. This area is big on oil, gas and coal production. This is also the home of the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Sweetwater County is the largest county in Wyoming, and 8th largest in the 48 contiguous states. Officially formed in 1867, Sweetwater County contains 10,425 square miles of land and 66 square miles of water. The county seat is at Green River.
