Formerly Sweitzer Lake State Recreation Area, Sweitzer Lake State Park is now a day-use only park for picnic, nature and water recreation. Morgan Sweitzer built the lake solely for recreation and lots of folks come these days to enjoy the fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming, picnicking, hiking and bird watching. The daily vehicle park pass costs $6, unless you have a $60 annual Colorado State Parks pass. |
