Bonneville County is in eastern Idaho with Wyoming to the east. Bonneville County is named for Benjamin Louis Eulalie de Bonneville, a French-born officer in the US Army, a fur trapper and an explorer of the American West. Bonneville County was founded in 1911 and the county seat is Idaho Falls. Bonneville County contains 1,868 square miles of land and 32 square miles of water. |
