I don't know much about Guadalupita except that it was one of the first settlements in Mora County (around about 1835). I was making the drive south from Angel Fire through Black Lake and into some gorgeous forest on a narrow and windy road. Shortly after passing Coyote Creek State Park I came into Guadalupita (still north of Mora). This is another "town" that isn't officially a town as it was originally a collection of land grants. There's no real business district (although there might have been one in the past) but there is a Post Office and a Catholic Church. |
