The Spanish Peaks Airfield (Huerfano County Airport) is located about 5 miles north of Walsenburg: exit 57 on the I-25, then go north about a quarter mile, turn right and go east about 1 mile. The terminal building is small but adequate. The main runway (8/26) is paved, 4900' long, 60' wide. |
Remarks: RY 8 has 391' displaced threshold. Blue lights identify the displaced pavement. RY 3/12 soft when wet; contact airport manager prior to use. For LIRL CTAF, 4 clicks on, 3 clicks off.
